Carmel By The Sea and Try this Soup

Cindy Hattersley invited us to come for a visit to their ranch near Carmel, California.

First, we met them in Carmel for little sight seeing and a relaxing and delicious lunch at the charming Casanova Restaurant.

Even the fire station is pretty.

We toured a quaint antique shop called Forget Me Not.

Another store called Jan de Luz has the most amazing monogrammed linens.

White sand and crystal clear water…so lovely!

On the way out of town, we stopped at one of Cindy’s favorite haunts…Tancredi and Morgen.

I loved all the French goods.

Awesome soup bowls…speaking of which, try this easy Creamy Potato and Asparagus Soup that I made last week.  The BACON BITS ARE DRIZZLED WITH HONEY.  Did that get your attention 🙂
I used an immersion blender instead of a regular blender.  This is easy enough for a weeknight.

What a great day in Carmel! I will have some snippets of
Cindy’s beautiful Monterey Colonial home in my next post.
