Our friend, Laura’s daughter, is engaged! Brooke and Andy met as sailors on the Newport Harbor. So, it was appropriate that Debbie, Maureen, Diane and I gave Brooke a nautical shower at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club.
We served Champagne with peach and mint. Knowing of Debbie’s great collection of blue and white China…I suggested using it for the shower and she happily agreed.

This was a thoughtful touch done by the floral designer and left on Brooke’s place setting.
Maureen purchased the sailor themed scarves/sarongs as party favors. The placesettings are also personalized luggage tags.

This was a salad with grilled chicken and stacked tomato and mozzarella.
The tart (thanks Diane) had a dark chocolate filling and was simply displayed with lemon leaves.
Part of the décor was a frame with a photo of Brooke and Andy that I gave her (and another matching one that I wrapped).
Maureen created this organized list… (great idea).
Several guests took home flower arrangements. Here’s how some look now in Debbie’s kitchen.
