Give Your Guest Room Chic Global Style

All set for company!  My client, Caroline inherited Asian art from her uncle.  We thought it would be fun to use it in her guest room and create a global, contemporary vibe.  Zen-like.

This mid-century modern desk is from West Elm and the lamps are from Target.  The art on either side of the warrior is woven on silk.

I love black and white ticking mixed with international textiles.  The duvet cover and sham are from IKEA.

The walls were painted in Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.   Caroline has a fresh, new guest room without breaking the bank!

Here is a bedroom that I snapped at a Newport Harbor Home tour a few years ago…the rug gives it a great feel.

Bad photo…but notice the kilim pillows at my friend, Clair’s house.

Here are other ways to get the look….West Elm Striped Belgian Linen bedding.

Bolivian Textile Pillow from Pottery Barn
Speaking of guest rooms… this is a cool display in a wooden bowl at Pottery Barn.  Talk about pampering!

Last week, we went to a fun party at San Francisco’s City Hall.  The last time I was here was years ago for a street parking pass.

Put a smile on your face and get some fresh air today!  I will too.
