The World’s Biggest Home Décor Show

Last week, at the Design Bloggers Conference in Beverly Hills, they announced the bloggers selected to participate in the High Point, NC Design Bloggers Tour!

I’ve always enjoyed reading the news from High Point Market and wanted to go.  It’s a huge trade show that happens twice a year in North Carolina.  And this year, I will be there with nine awesome bloggers!

And I’m taking you along with me as I cover the latest and greatest in home furnishing design.

Monica Benavidez, Monica Wants It      Courtney Allison, French Country Cottage

Heather French, French and French Interiors    Cindy Hattersley, Rough Luxe

Joanna Hawley, Jojotastic      Kyla Herbes, House of Hipsters

Mary Ann Pickett, Classic Casual Home       Ivonne Ronderos, Dkor Interiors

Danny Russo, Danny Russo        Claire Staszak, Centered By Design

Sponsors participating in the tour include:

Bernhardt Furniture      Century Furniture      Crypton Home Fabric       E.J. Victor   Exquisite Rugs

Heritage Home Group   IMC – Interhall       Karastan Rugs / Mohawk Flooring       Littman Brands

Lloyd Flanders      Modern History Inc.       Rowe Furniture

Sunbrella / Glen Raven Custom Fabrics

 Universal Furniture

Universal Furniture was giving away this cool, leather and brushed brass Jensen chair at the conference.

And I won it!!!  Thanks to all of you who liked my photo on Instagram.

I’m giving it to our daughter, Alie.  We are redoing her West Hollywood apartment. This will elevate her stylish, new look (which I will, of course, show you).  Here is a text that she sent to me several weeks ago and I saved it.  (It’s the little things we moms love).

It was intensive learning at the Design Bloggers Conference.  But we also had some fun with Cindy Hattersley from Rough Luxe, my new friend, Debra from Fifth and State (she is so talented–a designer, shop owner, and European tour operator) and Annie Diamond from Most Lovely Things.  Lots of laughs.

Also, I’m no fashion blogger, but here is the link to my gingham dress.  We are all color coordinated!  And speaking of black and white… look at the tile and outdoor furniture at the new Century City mall that Annie and I visited our last day in L.A.

Cool, right?

Let me know what topics, trends and innovations you would like covered from High Point Market.  I’ll be there for a few days with Cindy Hattersley starting April 15.  If you are going, please let me know!  Carla Aston already told me to wear comfortable shoes!  In the meantime, I’m going to check out the other participating bloggers’ sites.

Stay warm and dry during all these storms!  I am enjoying the longer daylight hours though.  How about you?
