Great Food and Kitchenware Design in San Francisco

March 18, 2018 By Mary Ann Pickett 8 Comments

There are so many cool places to explore in San Francisco!

Often, I get asked for suggestions.  Some places you can find on my Travel Bay Area Pinterest board.  This weekend, I went to Tartine Manufactory and Heath Ceramics.  They are right next to each other…which makes for a fun and convenient little outing!

At Tartine Manufactory, you can watch the bread baking process.  Sit in the dining room for table service or in the bakery for self-service (or to pick up baked goods).

Then, head next door to Heath Ceramics.   You can see the factory through the glass…where they make the ceramics.  The salesperson told me that that the clay is from Sacramento…so it really is a locally produced, California brand.  They also sell custom tiles, books and more.

This Tartine Oat Porridge Bread was still warm from the oven when I got it home…

And these inexpensive Weck jars that I bought got me to do a little organizing…

Have a great day!!!

Mary Ann

Oh, I love your San Francisco Travel Board on Pinterest. Now if you’d just give me an address also. We have a Heath store down here in LA. Right near The Grove. So we are not heathens. Your blogs are eye candy. Love your photos. I’d love one of Tartines Morning rolls right now. Love your blog.
