Tips to Style Your Perfect Bedside Table

September 7, 2017 By Mary Ann Pickett 13 Comments

1.  Minimize clutter–less is more for a relaxing vibe. 2.  Good lighting for reading.

If your bedside tables are small, consider wall sconces.
 3.  Photos in coordinating frames.  This is a nice place to have pictures of your loved ones.

Depending on the size of the table, have one to three photos.

 4.  Fresh flowers (or good faux) or a plant add life.

5.  Tray or bowl for jewelry.

6. Basket for magazines and books.  These can look messy otherwise, especially magazines.

7.  Water carafe/coaster.
8.  A pretty clock. 9.  Hidden outlet for your cell phoneThe Chic Site

Usually the bouquet of flowers that lands in my bedroom is an older one from the living room or foyer that has been trimmed down and refreshed…still a nice luxury!
Also, lamps of the same size/height on both sides of the bed can provide a comforting symmetry.

Please bear with me while classic • casual • home moves from Blogger to WordPress and undergoes a redesign.  I will have a new email server, too.  Thanks for sticking with me!

Such lovely rooms and suggestions. Did you happen to paint the nightstands in your bedroom? If so, what color are they? I am looking for a beautiful, creamy white to paint our two nightstands, and everything seems either too yellow or too stark against our massive black headboard. Thanks!

I painted them with Annie Sloan Old White. Thanks, Kim.

I love the turquoise, multiple shelf bedside table. It’s so functional? Do you know where it can be purchased? Such lovely ideas throughout. I’m going to remove all my dog’s toys from my bedside stand now.

    These are all so pretty!
The ones with dressers as nightstands give lots of room for styling.
