Fresh Beach Home Interiors In Our New Neighborhood

Let me show you some beautifully decorated, fresh beach home interiors from a tour I was on last weekend. We live in an area in Jacksonville, Florida called The Beaches.

This was the Fifth Annual Beaches Tour Of Homes to benefit community improvement projects of the Town Center.

It was really fun, lots of inspiration and I hope to go every year! How kind it was of the homeowners to let us view their spaces.

Here are some highlights.

That is my friend, Mercedes. We drove her golf cart to the various houses on the tour.

Billard Room and Bar

This room is in the front of the house. It feels welcoming and probably always remains neat!

Frame Television As Art

We noticed this in two homes. I’d like to have a Frame TV above our mantel but since the mantel is so high, we need to tilt the television down…got any suggestions for me?

It’s really nice to have the Frame TV as part of a gallery wall.

Coastal Themed Art

Many of the homes had art from areas around Jacksonville.

Vintage Coastal Cottage Bathroom

This remodeled bathroom is in a 1920’s home. The sink feels appropriate with the modern sconce.

That floor tile is so pretty.

  2. Beautiful homes! Always wanted a beach home, and I know just how I’d decorate it!
Lovely ideas here. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love home tours and remember all the ones I went on in Newport Beach that were wonderful. I’m sure these homes were just as wonderful but I think that your home should be in the tour in the next few years. It is already gorgeous and I know you have more projects up your sleeve.
So glad you made it through the storm.

  4. sO GLAD YOU ALL FOUND YOUR DREAM VCATIN HOME THERE. HOW DO YOU LIKE THE STORM? JUST ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE!

Dillards has really great feather/down quilted cotton sham stuffer pillows in their Nobility line! They keep their shape, are very durable, and inexpensive.

  6. Glad that Hurrican Nicole is not adversely impacting you and not as fierce as Ian was. Sounds like a fun day tooling around in a golf cart. Ahhhh….the beach life! Thanks for the peek into these stunning homes. I love the double washer/dryer and the gorgeous tile in that laundry room. Any idea of the tile pattern name or maker?

    1. I love that tile too!!! I tried to do a google image search but it thinks its a checkerboard rug. :/

  7. Great homes! Thanks for sharing! Do you know how I can find a tile similar to the laundry room you showed? I think that would look good in my house! Finally doing laundry room in December!

    1. It would look good in your house, Melba. Just have to track it down. It’s not coming up easily in my search. (neutral checkerboard tile).
Let me know if you find anything.

  8. I LOVED this tour! So many fabulous ideas. You are lucky to live in a place with such darling homes! Mercedes sure looked cute peeking around the corner. Do you think she would ever do Ageless Style? Your house should be on the tour next year!

I concur with all of your comments, Cindy!!

    2. Totally agree with your comments! She has great style🥰

  9. We have a tv mounted above our fireplace, and we used a mount that uses a hydraulic “lift” to move the tv. It’s easy to lower the tv for viewing and then raise it up when it’s not in use.

  10. Thank you for sharing these beautiful homes with us!

    1. It was so fun looking at my photos to do this post, Jen. I got some ideas for our home…like crushed shell path walkways outside 🙂

    Hi Mary Ann,
Congratulations on your new home. It looks great. And thank you always for your very helpful and stimulating recommendations.
Quick question: I can’t find the website for Interior Linens, and it looks like they’re no longer in business. If that’s true, what are you recommending for pillow inserts? Theirs were wonderful.
    Best,
    Ann

          1. I have used rectangular pillows for square cover inserts as a last resort. Squeeze and work the stuffing over to a “square” area or whatever fits pillow cover. Flatten and pin every inch or so along an imaginary line between the square section snd excess. Carefully cut the pillow outside the pins away from square area and sew with a serger or zigzag stitch (tightly) the square area shut. You could even hand stitch with smaThe raw edge is not a problem if your stitching is secure, and doesn’t show anyway.
