Easy GREEK PARTY Platter And MORE for Casual Entertaining

September 13, 2018 By Mary Ann Pickett 9 Comments

Everyone loves a good party platter and today you are in luck as we have some from amazing hostesses: Most Lovely Things, Rough Luxe Lifestyle, Kelley Nan and Sheri Silver. Their links are featured again at the end of the post. Welcome if this is your first time here!

I love Greek food. We have been planning a trip there next summer…so I’ve had Greek food on the brain! You and some friends could make a meal out of this.

If you have a decent deli in your grocery store (or a great one like my sister, Teresa’s Whole Foods in San Diego)… you are on your way to making a great no-cook party platter!

It’s just really about assembly.

First, I lined a white platter with rosemary (found all over Teresa’s neighborhood) but you could use any greenery. Then, I added small white bowls and started to fill in with olives and Trader Joe’s rosemary Marcona almonds. There are also little powdery lemon cookies from the bakery department (garnished with tiny fresh lemon wedges).  I always like to have one little sweet thing on my party platters. Baklava would be good on this if you can get it.

It’s good to serve cocktail napkins and appetizer plates with party platters.

I made this hummus from scratch but you could buy any plain hummus and swirl some good olive oil on top with a sprinkle of paprika and parsley. I grilled the pita bread and cut them into triangles. While I had the grill on, I threw on some eggplant slices…you could also do zucchini, squash or peppers…then toss with a little olive oil and salt and pepper. Serve at room temperature. OR just buy a jar of roasted peppers. The feta cheese is the kind in a block that I cut into cubes.

Again…this is really more about EASE (not cooking so much).

So, just take your time with putting it together. You could use any fruit (we already had peaches). I like the green grape color with the figs (some I cut in half and drizzled with honey).

Fresh cucumber spears are tucked in diagonally on the top and bottom.

Enjoy!

I can’t wait to see what these ladies have in store for us!

So pretty and looks delish! I love all the food suggestions and “styling” tips and can’t wait to make one of my own. I’ve combined the figs and rosemary before – love that color combination – on a wood and marble board. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas!

This looks DELICIOUS! Love that it’s basically a meal unto itself, and that you included dessert too! 🙂 Thanks so much for including me in this month’s Project Design; so happy to now know your lovely blog!

Oh, I love this! And you make it look so easy. I struggle so, but maybe now I can make a beautiful platter!

That’s so pretty! My husband likes to create platters like this for dinner in the summer. No cooking, something for everybody.
One of my favorite places in Greece was Meteora. And Santorini (of course). And Crete. And Delphi. And Athens….seriously I loved everything there.
