Last night, we had a graduation party at Susie and Bob’s house.
Earlier in the week…”Oh come on. Really, Tommy? No party for you and your friends? You only graduate from high school once?”
“It’s too late. Todd’s mom bought out the Dollar Store’s
decorations and Jake’s mom is making ice cream. It will be
super casual and we will try not to embarrass you.”
I’m making Festive High School Grad cocktails:
2/3 Sprite
1/3 Perrier
dash of Grenadine
fruit spear with maraschino cherries

Perhaps I lied about the not embarrassing you part.
We did it, Susie! The chicks are almost out of the nest!
Unfortunately, they will be on opposite coasts! But they will be back.
Happy Father’s Day!
Best Wishes,
Mary Ann

My son said he preferred to take the money we would have put towards a party and just celebrate at his friends' grad parties. Glad you slipped a little celebration in.

You HAVE to have a graduation party!! And this one looks too cute!! Congrats!
What a cute group!! I think a graduation party is a must!! It's a momentous occasion that definitely needs to be commemorated! Looks like despite the initial trepidation, a good time was had by all!!

What a great time…love the sunflowers! I remember the summers after my kids graduated as the last time they were really mine. Once they left for college they came back but things were just a little different. Not bad different…just different. They become independent very quickly. Have a great summer and enjoy every minute!
You know they loved every second of it! Congratulations!
What a fun party! gotta have the GRAD glasses 🙂 Beautiful sunflowers- my fave!
How fun! Congratulations. Mine just graduated from college and is starting his first big job. It goes by fast. The empty nest thing is grand!!!!!

Who says NO to a party??! I would endure some embarrassment for some of that food and cake any day!! My little one is only two and I can't even fathom the day she leaves the nest!
Looks like everyone had a great time!

Hi sweetie!
This is super! I'm so happy you did this super cool party for them and it's amazing your kids are leaving home. My kids are only 6, 5 and I'm expecting the 3rd as you know, but I already imagine how it will be when they move out. I feel sad but at the same time it seems that you've done everything right…. I think we feel that we've accomplished something good in life.
I'm really happy for your kids and I wish I could give you a big hug to congratulate you.
Wishing you a blessed week!
