Look at the woodwork in Debbie’s beautiful new master bedroom in Newport Beach, California! Her bed frame used to be black and she had it refinished for her new home in an antiqued, warm gray.
Love her new rug, too.
Look how Debbie disguised her television by using antique prints that she collected in London!
I think it’s such a luxury to have a cozy fireplace in your bedroom.
Speaking of perfect, so was my birthday at my sister’s and mom’s house in San Diego last weekend. We had a delicious dinner in their backyard…
My brother, daughter, son, and cousin from New Jersey were there. My husband, Howard, was in China…but we “face-timed” him…I love modern technology!
When I got home to San Francisco Sunday afternoon…look what was outside our dining room window…
The Blue Angels…
did not see any instructions or info on the TV cover. Are piano hinges used? Could you
send a site with instructions please?
It was a custom design with Debbie and a carpenter.
Can u post or have a separate article on how to cover the TV with the framed prints? It’s lovely and come up in every search engine but there are no directions as to how to complete this awesome idea. Thanks in advance!
My friend, Debbie had her carpenter custom make it without plans…sorry no plans. He sort of “winged” it.
Can you please share how they constructed the hinged frames to hide the tv? I have been researching all over and seen several photos, yet no instructions on how to construct them. I would very much appreciate it! This is the compromise with my husband on having a TV in our bedroom 🙂 Thanks in advance!
Happy Birthday, Mary Ann! This bedroom with the beautiful fireplace and tasteful camouflage is amazing! Thanks for sharing such positive and uplifting images and thoughts in the midst of all the heartache. It’s so important to keep propping each other up and finding joy in all the hope. xox
Hope it was a wonderful birthday, Mary Ann! I absolutely love the way the pictures cover the tv – such a genius idea and the bathroom is gorgeous! Happy weekend ~
The bird mirror is divine! I will never ever tire of birds in and out of my home. Beautiful images.
The tv is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love that!!!!! beautiful bedroom!!
And I love your new blog design.
Thanks, Joni!
i’d also like to know the paint colors used on the bed…love it.
Debbie said it was a Donald Kaufman paint that was antiqued…not sure what color but you may be able to ask them.
Debbie’s master suite is gorgeous. Whoever did the finish on that bed did a fabulous job…just gorgeous. The millwork in her home is perfection! Love the egg prints hiding the tv. I have those same prints at the lakehouse…love those old book prints!
I also would love to know where the gorgeous rug is from!
Thank you,
Nan Taylor

What a wonderful post! Debbie’s bedroom and bathroom are gorgeous! I would also love to know about the rug and the paint colors. Everything together add up to such a beautiful retreat. And then to top it off with that pretty table at your mom’s and sister’s home makes for such a great post!
Thank you,
Nancy

DEBBIES BEDROOM IS EXTRODINARY. THE MILLWORK IS BEYOND AMAZING AND I LOVE HOW SHE REFINISHED HER BED. I TOO LOVE THE RUG, BUT SURE ITS OUT OF MY BUDGET. ITS EXACTLY HOW I WANT MY BEDROOM TO FEEL, SOOTHING AND COMFORTABLE. OF COURSE, I LOVE YOUR BEDROOM TOO. THE VIDEO OF THE BLUE ANGELS WAS BREATHTAKING. SO GLAD YOU GOT TO SEE THEM. AND GLAD YOU HAD A FUN BDAY IN S.D. THE BIRTHDAY TABLE WAS SO PRETTY AND FESTIVE.
XOXO GAIL
I loved her Noir bed when it was black, but I love it even more grey!
This room looks amazing!
It was custom made by CFC (a part of Noir) but now they only sell their own designs.
OMG! What a beautiful bedroom and bath. I absolutely love the framed pics concealing the TV. Can you tell us more how this was done?
I also want specifics on that floor lamp. I love it. xo
The lamp is vintage…and Debbie’s carpenter custom built the frame for the television. I will find out more next time I am over at her house.
The Blue Angels over the GG Bridge – Amazing! Love the antique prints over the fireplace. Happy Birthday.
Thanks so much!

Thank you !
What a perfect setting for Newport. love the zen serenity of it all.. Beautiful. So glad that the Blue Angels were there to welcome you home. Happy Birthday. PS. Did you know it’s almost impossible to read what I write in the comments? Or am I too old?
I know, Sandra…I am asking the site designer…you would like her. But it’s hard for me to read, too.
Thanks, Sandra…we fixed the print on the comment section!
Why is it that a monochrome all-red interior is too much, a monochrome all-tan interior is a nightmare but a monochrome all-white interior is zen heaven?
While I think that TVs above the mantle are too high (and I wouldn’t have a TV at all–I accomplish so much more since I gave it up several years ago…OK I watched CNN nonstop during the hurricanes), Those bi-fold shutters are hands-down the most ingenious hiding device ever!
My bedroom is neutral, too…and it IS soothing.
so pretty…..who is this debbie? and how can we find out where her gorgeous rug is from?
Debbie is one of my best friends!!! I will ask her.
