Hello, my friend, and happy Easter to you! It’s Sunday and I’m so excited to share my five faves (with Cindy and Annie) like stylish readers and a chain that can be used as a mask holder, too. Also, my new T-shirt worn differently and an enjoyable show for you to watch on television. Let’s go!
New Fave T-shirt, Stylish Readers, Sweet TV Show, and More
1. Sturdy, Stylish Readers and Chain
I just bought these reading glasses and they are my new favorites. I also like the chain (that you can use to keep your mask handy if necessary). Incidentally, I bought that California countryside landscape in my office on eBay for around $30 🙂 Of course, the frame was a lot more.
2. Favorite Madewell T-Shirt
Did you catch our recent Spring Fashion post where I wore this striped T-shirt with a suit? I wore the T-shirt again with this outfit. My skirt is from CP Shades on eBay that my buddy Cindy H. alerted me to… she is a wizard with eBay.
Madewell Boxy Tee • Maxiskirt (similar) • Comfortable Booties from Madewell • Gap Denim Jacket (now about 10 years old) • Vintage Wooden Necklace (that I bought years ago at an antique mall)
3. Heartwarming Television Show
Country Comfort on Netflix
This is a fun, breezy show when you don’t want something heavy. We watched the whole first season in a few days.
“An aspiring young country singer (Katharine McPhee) finds the band she’s been missing when she takes a job as a nanny for a musically talented family: a rugged cowboy (Eddie Cibrian) and his five children.”
4. Kitchen Stools To Update Your Look
While researching kitchen stools for the latest and greatest for a client, I decided it was time to redo this post. There are also backless stools, too. #13 can be customized in performance fabric. #4, #5, #6, # 9, #10 and #11 are also brand new.
It seems texture and performance fabrics are hotter than ever. There are more stools, links, and information on the post.
5. Marie Flanigan – The Beauty of Home
I finally received Marie’s book, The Beauty of Home. Her work really speaks to me…understated, fresh traditional elegance and use of fresh flowers as accents. I bought it in advance of publication for around $45…and now it’s sold out on Amazon. But you can get it here for the time being.

I love the look with the T-shirt with the long skirt and Jean jacket!! Looks looks so cute on you. I also found a tortoiseshell glasses holder and I thought maybe my glasses, hanging from a chain would not look so “old lady”, as my daughter tells me!!
I love the California art.. I’m a fan of any California plein aire style art!

THERE IS SOMETHING NEW ABOUT YOUR MAKE UP TODAY!
Is it the RED lip’s?
Glasses are GOOD…….anything TORTOISE gets my vote!
THAT SHOW LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING I WOULD EnJOY………NO BANG BANG SHOOT THEM UP!

I love tortoise too!

Mary Ann,
I love the readers. I’ve noticed several celebrities wearing similar square, large-framed glasses. They look great.
I look forward to trying the new Netflix series.
I always welcome the Sunday Favorites from your talented trio.
xo,
Karen

Good Easter Morning to you! Love your post today. I have a recommendation for a funny police detective series for all the readers,
“New Tricks” , which was filmed in England from 2003 till 2015 for their TV. It is about a group of four detectives with the Metropolitan police who solve cold case murders. They are a strange crew and unconventional, but delightful. My husband, who does not watch with me, can”t understand what I am laughing about from the other room. It usually ends hilariously, so I hope you can find it. I watch on Britbox.
I have become addicted to the group and it adds humor to life.
Have a Blessed Day.

Happy Easter, Patricia. I think I should look into Britbox. My sister has it. Thanks so much for the recommendation!

Happy Easter Mary Ann! Love your readers! My favorite pair are from Jimmy Crystal…they have a large collection. I bought Marie Flanigan’s book when it first came out. I think I have looked at it a dozen times, guess I was lucky to snatch up a copy when I did.
Thanks for supporting eBay, I love selling there! :o)

Cindy just told me you can get it at Ballard, so I updated the post. It’s a great book.

I need those glasses! I constantly misplace mine! Why don’t all readers come with chains? That striped shirt looks great with your skirt! I cannot wear horizontal stripes but they sure look great on you! That skirt is so versatile isn’t it? Happy Easter love your five faves!!
Mary Ann Pickett says
Thanks for telling me about the skirt. I wore it last night to dinner.
