It’s Sunday and I’m excited to show you my five faves this week including Bathroom Styling, Valentine’s ideas, my friend Debbie’s Newport Beach Home, AND some recommended television shows for you! Cindy and Annie are also sharing their great things too!
What To Watch On Television
“Call My Agent”
On Netflix in French with English subtitles. I think it’s helping me remember my French! And it has shots of Paris with humor thrown in…several seasons, too.
“At Paris talent firm, A.S.K, agents scramble to keep their star clients happy and their business afloat. Three agents, Mathias, Gabriel, and AndrĂ©a, juggle one situation to another in circumstances that blend their personal and professional lives.”
“The Dig”
Also on Netflix, starring Ralph Fiennes. The movie based on a true story…and I like a good English period piece!
“On the eve of World War II, a British widow hires a self-taught archaeologist to dig up mysterious formations on her land, leading to a staggering find.”
Bathroom Styling
Chris wanted some help accessorizing her remodeled bathroom..She is local but we did this virtually.
Here is what we added from Target, World Market, and Serena and Lily…
I actually had my eye on that affordable seaside painting by Ken P. on eBay for a while. I sent Chris the link for her to purchase. You can find more like it here. She is going to have it framed in natural wood…perhaps the color of the stool that her grandchildren use.
The towels are from the Restoration Hardware Hotel line.
Easy Dinner Your Valentine Will Love
How about making this slightly fancy steak dinner for your Valentine?
Personalized Valentine Post Cards
Touchnote is a fun little app to download on your phone to create personalized postcards like these that I sent to my blogging pals… Kim “Northern California Style“, “Cindy Hattersley Design“, Annie “Most Lovely Things” and Elizabeth “The Vintage Contessa“. You can put your personal message on the back.
My Friend, Debbie’s Home
Last week, I had a brief but wonderful visit to see my friend, Debbie in Newport Beach. Debbie and I were Freshmen room-mates and the math is too hard to figure how long we have known each other! Take a look at some of my photos…
We had breakfast in her living room…
using her pretty Astier de Villatte dishes…
Debbie has five little granddaughters. Can you imagine the fun they have in this guest room?
On Thursday, we are featuring kitchens and I have some good shots to show you of Debbie’s. She is a master at design and special touches.
Our Home On Southern Hospitality
What a nice surprise to see that Southern Hospitality featured our home on her blog. Please check it out and tell her I sent you 🙂
Let’s go see what Cindy and Annie have for us today!

I liked The Dig. The story was good but the cinematography was beautiful! I also liked the bathroom redo. Amazing how a couple of changes can really make a bathroom pretty.

Loved these 5 great things. Always appreciate things to watch on TV since we’re doing a lot of that. The bathroom is so pretty and I love the accessories, they make the room look finished. But it’s Debbie’s house that had my full attention. Her home is gorgeous and perfection in every way. Can’t wait to see more.

Mary Ann, I loved my Valentine postcard ! It makes me so happy seeing it on my pinboard and remembering the fun day we all had together. This was a fun post. Great the steak dinner ideas- and all the little touches like the croutons and the green beans with walnuts and lemon. You bath remodel looks terrific. Love the mirror and the painting especially! Your friend’s home is also lovely. What a gorgeous little bedroom for her granddaughters. Hope you have a good week. xo Kim

Debbie’s house is so relaxing. I absolutely love the bamboo side tables in the bedroom. Do you think Debbie would be willing to share where she found them? Will you be moving back to your pretty home in Newport Beach anytime soon? Love that house too
