Hello, my friend. How are you doing? All good here. I’m back in San Francisco with Howard and Chief and I’ve got some really good things to share along with Cindy and Annie like Stylist Allison Bornstein and more.
5 Faves: Stylist Allison Bornstein, Red Sneakers, Tablesetting
1. New Chairs At Target
I tried out these chairs at Target and they are comfortable. I would use them in areas with less traffic (like a bedroom) and spray several layers of Scotchguard on them before using if you purchase a lighter color.
Striped Slipper Chair (comes in charcoal, too) • Knife Edged Pillow Chair • Club Chair (my client bought four of these in gray to put around a round ottoman in her vacation home).
2. Hummus Appetizer Platter
I made this hummus platter again recently in San Diego for my mom’s birthday party…with cucumber slices this time (a nod to Weight Watchers). I warm the pita bread in a pan on the stove before cutting into triangles with kitchen scissors.
3. Sporty Red Sneakers 🙂
Here I am out for a walk in my daughter, Alexandra’s L.A. neighborhood last weekend. These red suede Van’s sneakers are my new fave! And they are inexpensive ($48 right now) and have cushioned soles.
That’s a several years old top from Saks Fifth Avenue (similar) with Banana Republic Leggings.
4. World Market For Affordable Tablesetting Ideas
While with Alexandra, we ran over to World Market for a few affordable purchases for our dinner table. Howard and Luca made dinner.
Pink candles (cool hexagon shapes, more colors…they only last one night but are cheap) • $2 Cloth Dark Teal Napkins (lots of colors) • throw blanket • lumbar pillows • white vase I want this!
5. Celebrity Stylist and YOUR Fashion Consultant: Allison Bornstein
The morning after our dinner, Alexandra and I watched her college friend, Allison Bornstein’s question and answer show on Instagram Live Reels…called Fashion Roulette. She’s amazing! Allison’s advice is perfect for all ages and body types. It was so fun! Followers video call in with their fashion dilemma and she gives them great advice. I love her fashion edit reels, too. All FREE but you can also book your own private styling session such as…
A one-hour FaceTime session with Allison followed by an email of shop-able links that Allison believes will refresh your wardrobe.
And those are my five faves this week with Stylist Allison Bornstein, Red Sneakers, Tablesetting ideas, and New Chairs At Target!
Let’s go see what my friends Cindy and Annie are finding this week!

Great post Mary Ann, as always. Sunday’s are the best when I have the three of you to get some wonderful tips and ideas.
BYW…I have to thank you! I bought the Mark & Graham tote that you shared in blue and I LOVE it.
I’ve wanted a blue purse for a long time but never found one that was a nice blue. This one is a beautiful blue and I’m thrilled with it. So thanks again.

Love the Target chairs … I’m going to forward this to my niece who’s getting her first little house set up. Your red shoes caught my eye on Instagram … as well as that chic backdrop. What a cute neighborhood your daughter lives in. And, how about her college roommate … I’m following her now. Getting properly dressed as self-care is a concept I must embrace! xo

Red shoes and colorful hummus platter are now on my list. Your make-ahead egg cups are tempting, as well. Your posts arrive when they are needed most. Sundays especially are difficult for many of us without family…even on a gorgeous spring day in my mild climate. I appreciate the thought and care you put into spreading sunshine. Blessings your way, Mary Ann.
