It was fun in Napa with Cindy Hattersley. In addition to the show house, we did a little shopping.
I bought this heavy linen apron for my brother and sister-in-law who are hosting Thanksgiving in Palm Desert, California next week.
While in Napa, we spent the night at the Napa River Inn…gotta love a place that serves a little wine while registering…
And I loved shopping at Sonoma Country Antiques…a great mix antique, vintage and new. Cindy pointed out that with this stores proximity to SF, I could even run over on a Saturday.
We had a great lunch at Cindy’s Back Street Kitchen …love the decor!
Last year, we had Thanksgiving at our cousins, Linda and Ted’s house. It was a large group with one “grown-up” table in russets and one in aqua.
Colorful flowers tied everything together.
Everyone had a place card.
Three generations here…
and a fourth generation…
Speaking of place cards, Lisa at “Shine Your Light” created these custom ones with menus. And “instead of torturing her family” to come up with reasons aloud why they are grateful, they have quotes to read such as
“Small cheer and great welcome makes a merry feast”.
-Shakespeare
There are some cute place card settings here.
You can see how I made this tablescape here.
Say hello to my brother wearing his new apron…
see you Thursday, Jimbo and Nancy!
Hope you are having a great weekend!!!
